Hi folks,

My name is Carolyn Harris and I live in sunny and sometimes very hot
Western Australia. I was born in Melbourne and lived my younger days in
Strathmore a suburb of Melbourne. My mother Mary Lillian JOHNSON nee GIBBS
was born in Heyfield in 1914 to Harry GIBBS and Eleanor WILLIAMSON. Harry
was born in Sale in 1856 the son of Robert GIBBS and Mary MOODY. Robert
and his family moved to Heyfield where Harry worked at the Tannery. Harry
was also a Superintendent of the Methodist Sunday School in Heyfield. From
1881-1882 Robert GIBBS was the Grave Digger at the Heyfield Cemetery
Robert's brother John also came to Australia and lived at Sale along with
his wife Lucy SMEETH and their children. Both John and Robert were
Brickmakers in Sale.
