Hi Folks,
from my school years I recall the Expression(description) "Haunted
Hills" which I Think referred to the Area between Moe & Morwell.
Somewhere in my mind was the suggestion that the description came about
as Horses "Spooked" when they crossed the area which overlaid the brown
Coal seams through the Newborough/Gunns Gully/Yallourn area..
I would appreciate any information to clarify the origins of the
expression..
