I had a look in the Pioneers index and there is only one family of MULLARKY,
born from 1874. All but one son died and the father James Francis MULLARKY
came from Sligo on the marriage index. There was only one other being a
Mary MULLARKY who married in 1855. In the death index there are only three
dying all in the 1980s.
Also there was a very popular satirist writing for the Argus who used the
pen name of "Oriel" so I would say that Mr. Mullarkey was a pen name.
