Grt grt g'father Dougall McDougall & Jean (Jane) McDonald, a widow with
one child, Ellen, mrd between 1857-60. Jane was a widow, m.n. either
Mackey, Mackie, McKay or similar. This was a 2nd marriage. They had
eight children. Flora b.1860, Omeo, mrd Henry Davies, Dougall b.1862,
mrd Ellen Smith, Janet b.1865, mrd. John Alexander Marriage, Catherine
b.1867, unmarried, d.1927, Archibald b.1869, mrd Lucy Alice Joyner,
Duncan b. 1871, mrd Jessie Cooper, Peter b.abt.1873-74, mrd Isabella
Cooper, & Annie b.1876, d.1897. They lived at Swifts Creek between
1866-69, then Dougall became a grazier at Bridle Creek near Bruthen. I
am curious as to what happened to his wife Jane as I can find no record
of her. If she left him and the family, or died and her death not
registered? Would love to know where she is buried. Any information
about her or this family, greatly appreciated.

With regards, Rhonda
