Hello Mark,

Try http://www.whitepages.com.au/wp/ Australian Telephone Directory. I had
a quick look for SHAPLAND and there is 1 entry in Melbourne and 2 entries
for country Victoria but not near Korumburra. It is an unusual name so
might be related.
Good Luck,
Helen Cumming.

in was once owned by the Shapland family, Edwin John & Louisa who I believe
emigrated in around 1911. During WW1 two sons of the family Percy Edwin &
Reginald Reed served with the Australian Army both were killed one in
Gallipoli the other in France. Incidently the person the Shaplands sold the
property to William Gush was also killed in WW1. I have found records in
the Australian War Memorial & in NAA government archives, a sister is
mentioned I wonder if anyone knows if any other relatives or more likely
descendents are still living around Korumbura or if anyone has any
information about the family ?
