I am interested in finding out any information about Samuel Stone, his wife Janet Jessie (or Jessie Janet), their Daughter Jessie Violet, sons Albert James, Martin Ellis,(born Buchan 1890), John Alexander,Alan Grant (who died Bairnsdale as an infant 1902),and Samuels grandson Allan Stone (born Bairnsdale 1904). Samuel and Janet Jessie were in Buchan in 1890 for the birth of Martin, they then returned to Pyramid Hill where John Alexander was born and Alan Grant was born 1902 Whites Hill Bendigo but deceased Bairnsdale. I believe it was about this time they took up property in the Buchan / Basin area. Samuel died in 1921 and Janet Jessie in 1937. If anything is known about their activities between 1902 and the time the parents deceased I would be interested.


If anyone knows where Mrs Hamilton's selection near Clifton Creek, she had it in 1902, I would be interested
