I have recently been searching for ROGERS in Buln Buln.

My ancestors came Assisted to Australia in April 1849 from England on the Mary Shepherd. The family consisted of,with ages at the time, Henry 44, Elizabeth 42, Edwin 18, William 16, Ann 14, Mary 10, Elizabeth 4, Louisa Rose 1.

On my great,great,grandfather William's marriage certificate of 1854, it states the parents of Wm, Henry and Elizabeth were landowners.Wm was a bricklayer.

William married Mary(Adgery, spelt many ways on birth certs. of their children, also possibly known as Hendren, Henderson) in Richmond.One of their children Jemima Marsh Rogers married George McKenzie in 1879 (these are my great grandparents).On their marriage certificate Jemima's father Wm was a Selector,the usual place of residence for Jemima was Buln Buln, Gippsland.
