Sorry everyone,

I should have supplied more detail.

The one I am referring to was on the Yarra Track in Victoria. The
following refers to a relative of mine and I'm having difficulty trying
to work out where it was located.

CUMBERLAND CREEK STORE & RESTAURANT
Yarra Track
Edwin Hargreaves, Proprietor
Good accommodation for travellers. Good Stabling .
N.B.-Horse-feed, a good supply always on hand.

I found it in an old thread on Gippsland Rootsweb from 2001 and when I
contacted the author, he told me that it was in the Gippsland and Woods
Point yearly advertiser 1866. He suggested I contact this list for
further information on the location.

A family book I have refers to the family settling at Cumberland Creek
before moving to Dixon's Creek but there is nothing more specific about
Cumberland Creek.

Thanks again,

Elaine

Hi Elaine,

Can you give us a better clue??? Like where you think it MIGHT be near.
There are, for example, Cumberland Falls somewhere near Healesville, I
think.

Cheers

Linda

In general, the more information you post about a family, the more
information you will get back - you need at least to say where in
Gippsland the family came from, and give an idea of dates.
