Hello
I am new to this list.
I am researching Riddell family. John Riddell (Riddle) was the first
'owner' of Gillingall Station, about 30 Km out of Buchan.
I would love to find out exactly when he 'took up' the property and the
circumstances of it. Was he a squatter, did he lease it, when exactly
did he lose etc etc.
There is probably a Govt Dept somewhere that has that info. Can anyone
steer me in the right direction and/or tell me anything about it please?
