Hi all,

I've recently made contact with a cousin of my husband's in Scotland - both
have Finlay SUTHERLAND and Margaret McGREGOR as their ancestors. I was
tidying up my file to send her some information on the descendants of Finlay
SUTHERLAND (1874-1962) and Margaret Anne Selina PRICE (c1883-1919), when I
realised that there quite a few gaps. Both Finlay and Margaret were born in
Scotland and came to Australia.

Finlay and Margaret had three children that I know of:
Finlay (c1903-1976) who married Myrtle Lily McKENZIE (c 1890-1971)
John Price (c1906-1942) who was killed at Rabaul during WW2
Mary Wilson (c1910-1936) who married Ray STOKES (1908-1967)

Finlay SUTHERLAND and Myrtle Lily McKENZIE had three daughters, Phyllis,
Betty and Peg. Betty married Tony POWELL and both died in a terrible car
accident in 1968. Phyllis married Tom CUMERFORD and Peg married Jimmy
BETTS - my husband remembers them all but the last contact he had with them
was many years ago.

Betty and Tony POWELL had three children, Michael, Elizabeth and Joanna, who
survived the accident (this information comes from Tony's RAAF service
record). We would really like to know whether Phyllis and Peg had
descendants as well. I'm sending to this list because other families
associated with the Sutherlands lived in Gippsland (THOMAS, PRICE, McKENZIE)
around Yarram, so maybe someone knows of them - all I have is names.
