I have hit a complete brick wall on John Doyle a miner in Victoria & his
wife Elizabeth Sweet. They had two children (so says VicGold) who died
very young. I obtained the children's certificates but am not sure that
they were actually their children. They DEFINITELY had another son, John
Henry Doyle, baptised at St.Francis Catholic Church in Melbourne in 1847
(from memory!). I descend from him. I've never been able to find the
deaths of John or Elizabeth to find their parents names (as their names are
so common).
There probably aren't any descendants except the numerous ones from John
Henry Doyle but I'll try this entry anyway. Hopefully, John Doyle or
Elizabeth Sweet had brothers/sisters in the area at the same time & someone
might descend from them!
