Hi,

Can anyone tell me about the gold-field of Connellsgully.
I believe it is just outside (or was) .. Daylesford. When was
gold first found there? .... When did it run out? ... How good
a field was it? .... Any other history of the area?? ..

My husband's ancestors - Robert & Eliza THRUTCHLEY were
there - they arrived in Victoria in January 1855 on the Golconda
(I can't find the exact date) - their daughter was born in Connellsgully
in July 1857 - I don't know when they left there - but they were in
Queensland by Nov. 1862.

Any information would be most appreciated.

Many thanks,

Alison Griffith
