Hello Di,

I made an enquiry today.

Australia Post Archives are held at the National Archives in Melbourne.
Lists of material available are available at the PRO reading room in
Casselden Place, 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne (near Parliament Station).

The archivist I spoke to said that the types and volume of information
varies a great deal from PO to PO. In some cases there are even some photos
as well as information about the staff etc.

Good Luck.

Val.
