I am a new subscriber to this list.

My gt grandfather's brother Arthur Thomas HOLMESTED arrived in
Victoria on 19 Jan 1857 age 19 on the Joseph Tarratt. Then where did
he go? Have you seen the name anywhere?

He is next recorded on 26 Jul 1870 at Wide Bay, Maryborough QLD when
he maried Margaret MOONEY age 25 born in Kildare Ireland, dau of James
MOONEY, a farmer and Mary nee KEHAN. Were they also in Aus? Has she
any family?

Arthur was a labourer in 1870 but by 1888 was Station master at
Lutwyche. Family history says they did not have any children and I
cannot find any.

Margaret died 6 May 1906. Thomas died 27 Sep 1921and is buried at
Toowong Cemetry in a plot with Thomas MORRIS age 52 bur 28 Dec1905 and
Leslie James MORRIS no age given bur 8 Oct 1911. Are the MORRIS
family related in any way?
