Looking for information about the Ballan area. Roughly 1850'S to 1920's. Family of Dwyers and Lyons lived in the region. They died and were burried in Old Balan Cemetery.
Lyons family of Patrick William and Bridgetnee Dwyer) raised children who went to school in area. Patrick and Bridget and children lived around Cantwells Creek. Now Old Police Boys Camp that is abandoned. Old Cemetery is amazing. June Huggins of Gordon is puting historical picture together.
Anyone know the Lyons and Dwyers and possibly Shanahans in the area. One of the sons had Patrick Lyons, Bishop of Sale and of Christchurch.Does anyone know this family.
