Thank you for that information.
I and many others have asked about miners licence records and this is the
first time I have seen this clear and obvious explanation.
At least now I know not to waste my time trying to find something that
doesn't exist.
I found the goldfields petition site and thought there might have been more
records-
Genealogy is like gold mining isn't it? Most of the time you don't find
anything, but then occasionally, you strike it rich.
