I have a similar unwed mum birth in 1917 at the Good Shepard Convent Melb.
Registration went through in the mothers name but she never raised the
child. Mum had married in 1920 as Olive FISHLOCK, the death has never been
found would there be any records of what may have happened to this child her
name was
May FISHLOCK. mother Mary FISHLOCK after the birth she changed her name to
Olive FISHLOCK, and consequently never received the details of her brothers
death in WW1 due to the authorities looking for Mary.
