Hi everyone,
Sorry for the cross posting...well, not really because I'm so
happy that I just want to tell everyone.

2 days ago the local library phoned to say that a book I ordered had
arrived on interlibrary loan.
I had a quick scan in it to see if the school my Mum went to was in the book.
Sure enough it was there. A whole chapter about it in fact.
I started scanning it and was amazed to actually see my Mum's name in the
book. I found a couple of uncles, cousins and even names of family friends
I recall from when I was a child. It was just so.....so.....ohh I can't
explain the feeling I had. It brought tears to my eyes.
The lady who originally told me about the book is an old family friend in
her late 80's. Unfortunately I lost the information and thanks to Dianne
Carroll, I got the details of the book.
More reading revealed that the researcher for this particular school was
this very same old family friend. She didn't tell me that she put mum's
name in the book. She didn't say that she did the research. I guess I'm
now just going to have to save up my money and buy the book.
For those of you who are interested, it's all about One Teacher bush schools.

they are. Unfortunately there isn't one of my Mum but I'm hoping to find
one of her as a child some day.

If anyone has any old school photos from Biggara State School in the
1930's-40's, please contact me off list.

Eventhough there is no photo of my Mum, I'm still so excited.
