Hi Ian,
Can't help you with your people but may have some info on St James church.
I believe it was one of the first significant churchs in Melbourne CBD. It
has been relocated (early 1900s) to make way for one of the BIG churches in
Melbourne. I have a scanned photo I can send - I believe. I am at work and
working from memory, my notes are all at home. If any of this is of
interest let me know and I will look up my notes to confirm and send you
what I have.
