Hi Listers, My gr, gr, grandfather Daniel McNaughtan died at the Halfway
House Linton in 1864. He is burried with his wife and a daughter in the
Smythesdale cemetary. When his father died his oldest son Hugh
McNaughtan was apprenticed as a blacksmith in Linton and eventually had
a thriving blacksmith business near Rupanyup. Does anyone know of any
where I could look to verify the Linton part of Hugh's life from 1864
onward?
