Hi all,

Is anyone researching the family of Karl and Marie NEUHAUS?

Their son, Tobias Heinrich NEUHAUS born about 1867, married Rebecca Ann
TAYLOR, in Eaglehawk in 1892.

The marriage notice in the Bendigo Advertiser reads:

NEUHAUS - TAYLOR On 14 June 1892 at the Lutheran Church by the Rev F.
Leypoldt, Heinrich, third son of Karl Neuhaus, Inspector of Gaols,
Darmstadt. Hessa, Germany, to Rebecca Ann, the second daughter of William
Taylor, mining manager, Pyke St, Quarry Hill.

At some stage they must have moved to Bellingen in NSW as their children
were born there. Later they lived in Allawah Sydney and are buried in the
Woronora Cemetery.

I'm trying to connect a Carl George Neuhaus born 1861 Butzbach Hesse
Germany. I think he might be Tobias' brother.
