ST ARNAUD and environs

Highlighting the town ST ARNAUD and environs in our goldfields
catchment. This towns is approx. 100 km west of Bendigo and 70 km
north north east of Ararat

For this is it would be worthwhile creating a good subject line, eg.
ST ARNAUD town - Smith and Jones families
ST ARNAUD town - population statistics 1850-1890
ST ARNAUD town - pioneer families, etc.

Examples of what can be talked about are:
* talk about our ancestors
* early settlers
* talk about resources available, eg. where the records are/might be,
eg. cemeteries, gen socs.
* gather a synopsis of websites that cover the area (if any) and they
can be historical or contemporary, though not overtly commercial
* talk about history (without looking to breach copyright
on books, etc.)
* products and resources of the areas
* build bibliographies (while trying to not advertise books)
* mention some of the surrounding localities
* famous people or families

In my opinion, everyone can contribute, extracts or summaries from
Post Office directories, Govt Gazettes, old photos that could be
scanned and uploaded.

Where information is sourced, please try and give good quoted
references, as this will add to the value of the information. This
will only be as good as the contributions.
