John Semmens is a collector of gramophone records and a founding member of the Mechanical Musical Society of Australia and the Music Roll Society.


In this talk he will share with us the stories and the music of some of the internationally famous tenors and baritones who visited Ballarat to give concerts in the early decades of the twentieth century.
