Hi Phil
Jenny Fawcett has just released her 1885 list for Port Fairy newspapers
(Just down the road from Warrnambool).
John Candy, charged with deserting his children-Belfast (Port Fairy). There
may be some more references in other years.

Best of luck with your research

Dear fellow listers
Can anyone enlighten me about Thomas CANDY, born about 1828, who died at
Stawell or Back Creek in around 1860?
I believe he went to Victoria in search of his father James, who was living
in Warrnambool, but I haven't been able to find any shipping record or other
source that might throw more light on his identity.
Also seeking information about a Frank or Francis CANDY, born about 1814 in
Somerset England, who was alleged to have been in Victoria around 1854 or
1855.
Any help most welcome
Philip Candy
