Hello Jeannie -The family names you listed are quite familar to my husband - I had never before realised that so many families in the Calavil district originally came from Muckleford or thereabouts. I guessed that grandfather Patrick Hussey must have taken up land opened up for selection, he was working for a Mr Farran in Muckleford at the time, and would not, I imagine, have had much money. Thank you for your suggestion re the East Loddon Historical Society, I shall contact them. Regards. Pat
