Hi List,

On the subject of place names, I was looking up some relatives in my family
tree (on a distant limb) and was wondering what Rich is short for. As you
will notice that the first 5 children were born in Amherst. The only Rich I
know is Richmond. Any ideas?

John William Edwards b: 1868 in Amherst
Edward Edwards b: 1870 in Amherst
Eliza Edwards b: 1873 in Amherst
Mary Edwards b: 1875 in Amherst
Margaret Edwards b: 1877 in Amherst
Annie Edwards b: 1881 in Rich
Walter Edwards b: 1886 in Rich
