Thanks to Ian, however the birth I need is 1834, earlier than those dates.
To Evanie re newspapers. On my James' marriage he states HIS parents as James and Catherine, so the death notice would not be HIS mother. That is why I went for his grandmother.
I appreciate the input from everyone on this list.
