Have had a reply which says that Clifton Hill IS Yarra Bend. That reminded me that 2 years ago on a visit to Victoria I looked at an inquest for a James Rea. It stated no known relatives, born Ireland, aged 68 years. My James was born 1838, so would have been only 2 years older, so possible. He was born in Ireland too.
My James's eldest son stated his father was dead when he married in 1903, but perhaps because his father was in an asylum?
However, this inquest also said the patient was brought from the Immigrants Home under warrant produced only the day before he died. Does anyone know of records for the Immigrants Home or anything about it please?
