Hi Lyn,

There is a cemetery, quite large, in East St Kilda, which is very close
to Caulfield.. I used to live around the corner from it.
I just checked the net and I think there has been some MIs done for this
cem by the GSV. It is now governed by the Necropolis in Springvale and
their web link is :
http://www.necropolis.com.au/
It appears that the web page is undergoing reconstruction at the moment
but it might be worth checking back with them to see if your rellie was
buried there.
