Hi Lindenowites,

Just have to tell everyone that today I picked up the specifications book
for William Stevenson, mainly from when he built Scott's Hotel at Lindenow
South (the two-storey version). He also appears to have built the Lindenow
South Railway Station (or, at least tendered for it), and did some work on
the Lindenow School. This was probably while he was living in Bairnsdale. He
later moved to sale, where he was Mayor for a time. I saw a lovely photo of
him greeting Kingsford-Smith. Pity that wasn't at Lindenow!
