As mentioned in an earlier post, I have a few BDMs from Chiltern. Following are a couple of marriages.

1899 March 9
Samuel TRAVIS, 42, (b Beechworth) to Mary Elizabeth VAUGHAN, 26, (b Rushworth, Goulburn Valley). Sam was a miner. Residence of both bride and groom was Conness Street Chiltern. Parents of Sam, Henry Augustus Travis, miner, (also known as TRAVERS and TREVES) and Bridget WALSH. Parents of Mary, John Vaughan and Elizabeth Jane RICHARDSON. Marriage took place at the residence of the bride's parents, Chiltern, according to rites and ceremonies of Church of England. Minister George W. CARTER. Witnesses Arthur Vaughan, Richard Vaughan. Vic reg no 1899/54.

April 3 1899
Sydney Charles WILLIAMS, 23, capenter (b Ballarat) to Rebecca Agnes NORTH, 24, (b Rutherglen). Sydney's parents, Dionysius Williams, carpenter and Elizabeth MORLEY. Rebecca's parents, Isaac North, licensed victualler and Sarah SEXTON. Residence of both bride and groom was Rutherglen. CofE, St Paul's Church, Chiltern. Witnessses John North, S.H. Williams. Minister George W CARTER. 1899/55.
