Subject: [AVNE] Need lots of help on locations
Date: Sun, 18 Jun 2000 21:40:38 +1000

Hello AUS-VIC-NEsters,

I am currently working on providing a potted history of all the schools in
the NE region for the AVNE website, and so far have done the Upper Goulburn
area, although this wont be uploaded for a month or so until all three
sections are done and other stuff is integrated into it.

In doing so, I have come across the names of a number of towns/localities
that don't appear in my trusty VicRoads directory, and am seeking listers
help in trying to identify exactly where these places were.

Also, there are a number of places where the name of the school was
changed. In some cases this is due to the school being moved, or rebuilt
after a fire, in a nearby but differently named location, or because one
locality grew while the other died. But it in other cases it is due to a
name change of the town/locality. And again, I would love to hear from any
lister that has knowledge in these areas.

If you can help, please do so, preferably via the list (as an education to
others as well as myself), or directly to me at

Please remember that all these towns/localities are definitely in the
shires of Murrindindi, Strathbogie, Shepparton and Delatite (and maybe
Mitchell), and that similar names may exist in other shires.

their exact location that is required.

under Lake Eildon)
