I have the following two books on loan until Monday and am willing to lookup
any names.

Ships' Deserters 1852-1900 (including Stragglers, Strays & Absentees from
H.M. Ships

Most entries include a detailed description of the person, the ship,
sometimes where they came from.
The records are taken from the NSW Government Gazette (1852-1862) and the
NSW Police Gazette

Immigration
Index to Assisted Immigrants Arriving Port Phillip 1839 - 1851
(Guide to the NSW State Archives)
Gives Name, Vessel, Date, Shelf Location
