Hi Sandra,

All I know about my Margaret Carroll is that she was born in Ireland and her
parents where William and Margaret Welsh or Walsh so I can't rule out the
possibility but Carroll was/is a very common Irish name.

BUT I have a couple of Hille references in my tree.

A Henry Hille married Eliza Stone in Beechworth on 18 July 1877. Eliza was
the younger sister of my ggm Mary Ann Stone who married Henry Wool(l)ard in
Beechworth in 1864.
Also when I visited the Burke Museum two years ago and accessed their
research on the Hollister/Stone family, there was a note on the file that a
Doug Hille from Highton (Geelong area) had accessed the file in 1993.

Could we be related through the Stone line??
