Hi Rosalyn,
I'm guessing that Catherine may have married Arthur TREVORROW, and Martha
may have married Daniel QUINANE (although that doesn't match the "Mrs B
QUINANE", but then they got a lot of things not quite right in the obits!!
Wangaratta Chronicle, Saturday, December 18, 1933
OBITUARY. MRS ELLEN WATSON. A pioneer resident of the Greta district, Mrs
Ellen WATSON, died at the residence of her son, Mr Charles WATSON, Park
Lane, Wangaratta, yesterday morning, at the age of 80 years. The late Mrs
WATSON was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs J H TANNER, and had lived with
her husband for many years at Greta. Mr WATSON died some 24 years ago.
Members of the family are John L (Cudgewa), Charles (Wangaratta), Daniel
(Wangaratta), Mrs G. REES (North Wangaratta), Mrs A TREVORROW (Deniliquin),
Mrs B QUINANE (Lake Carjellico, NSW). Brothers are William (Malvern), and
James (Wangaratta). The funeral will take place to-day to the Greta cemetery.
From a website on QUINANE http://users.bigpond.net.au/quinane/jan99.html
"Daniel was born 6/4/1893, married Martha Watson in 1917 and moved to Lake
Cargelligo - presumably also following land that had been released. Daniel
died in 1976 and Martha in 1982, both are buried at Lake Cargelligo. They
had 9 children, Mary (1918), Ellen (1920), Cornelius Anthony (1922), Annie
(1924), Daniel J (1927), William John (1927), Kathleen (unknown), James
Patrick (1927) and Marjorie (1937)."
"James Patrick "Jim" Quinane was born at Lake Cargelligo on 7th June 1934.
He was the second youngest child of Daniel J Quinane and Martha Watson
(Daniel was the eldest son of Cornelius Quinane who moved to Ardlethan)."
On the NSW BDM site
Reg No. 6310/1917 QUINANE DANIEL J married WATSON MARTHA, HOLBROOK 1917
and
John Lachlan TREVORROW d. 1940 Denilquin, father Arthur, mother Catherine May
