Hi Anne,
The following comes from a letter Geoff Craig sent me a few years ago
The current Stanley, Vic cemetery commenced in 1862,with records kept from
1867. There were 2 earlier cemeteries in Stanley, Vic, from 1858 to 1862
it adjoined the the old catholic church on Ration Hill. The first cemetery
was located on Commissioner's Hill, behind the Police camp at Upper Nine
Mile. There are no records for these 2 sites.
