Jindera is over the border in NSW. About 15 mins drive out of Albury..
not on the Hume though, somewhere towards a place like Burrombuttock or a
similar name!. My paternal grandmother Lucy Jane nee Sawyer came from there
- a lovely little place. SAWYER, PETERS and HILSLEY are my family names
there. James Hilsley is in the old Jindera cemetery, and a number of
Sawyers are in the Albury pioneer cemetery - or at least, they are mentioned
on tombstones there. May have been buried elsewhere of course. All three
families were in Jindera..

Nana's mother was Lucy nee Peters, and James Hilsley was Lucy Peter's step
father.

G'day to everyone

I am building a database (with location maps) of Australian
cemeteries. I started this task because on-line mapping is now
readily available, and I had recently been trying to add place maps
to my family history. I guessed others might run into the same
problems as I did finding places, so thought I would try to pin down
as many cemetery locations as possible.

The draft work (very much a work in progress) is at
www.pcug.org.au/~pblair/auscem There is a direct email link to me on that
site.

I'm currently working the NE of Victoria. I have captured data for a
lot of places, and am about half-way down my list. But a few places
are giving me difficulty, identifying with reasonable accuracy where
the places are.

I'm looking for co-ordinates (S and E), or descriptive test that gets
me to the spot. Can anyone assist, please?
