The following people made witness depositions in the trial of Matilda
HARKNESS who was charged with feloniously and unlawfully attempting to drown
her child in the Murray River at Belvoir 23 Feb 1857.

James NORRIS
Elizabeth NEWBOUND
John PAGE
John MURPHY
Ellen RHODES
Thomas DUCE

Poor Matilda couldn't take a trick as she was also charged with larceny -
however the case was dropped although various witness depositions were
taken.

These being: James & Bridget GRIFFIN (Woolshed)
Elizabeth HARRIS (Silver Creek)

I have the actual depositions so if you recognise anyone get back to me.
