The Wodonga Family History Soc Inc is holding a seminar in conjunction with
VAFHO {The Victorian Federation of Family History Organisations}.

The title of the seminar is "DIVERSE DEATHLY DETAILS" and deals with
different aspects of death in family history:



Subjects:

1> "Fitzroy & Funerals-a Look at the Robert K. Cole Collection of Hotel
Records at the

State Library of Victoria" .{ Anne Burrows, Genealogy Librarian, State
Library of Victoria}

2> "Finding Thomas-Serendipity" {Di Christensen, VAFHO Secretary}

3> "A Grave Look at Cemeteries" {Jenny Harkness, VAFHO President}

4> "Death in the Archives" {Shauna Hicks, Senior Manager, Access
Services, Public Record Office, Victoria}

5> "Till Death us do Part-Women's Responses to Dying, Death and
Bereavement in Nineteenth Century Victoria"

{Don Wickam, Social historian and researcher}

6> "Causes of Death-an explanation and pronunciation of medical
terminology" {Dr Peter Prideaux}



People are encouraged to bring along death certificates and questions for
this last talk.



About 40 minutes will be devoted to VAFHO's AGM before lunch.
