Hello Friends,

To take up Beryl's excellent idea:

My town is ECHUCA ...... where my THOMPSONs settled in the late 1860s,
and near where my MADDERNs selected land at MILLEWA about 1870.

John and Miriam (nee Eldridge) Thompson had "The Temperance Hotel" ......
and their eldest son, John, was a Mate on a paddle steamer when he was
killed ...... and their next son, William, was a paddle steamer Captain.

A daughter, Barbara Weymouth, had the "Coffee Palace".

Kindest Regards ...... Corinne.
