Farewell
A send-off to Mrs. G.W. EASTWOOD, of Vectis, which took the form of a garden party, was held at Mrs. R.K. BIRD's residence at Natimuk on Tuesday week evening, a large number of ladies being present, some of them motoring from Horsham for the occasion. A very happy, jolly evening was spent, musical selections by Madame BELLMONT, and Miss SCHURMANN, and vocal items by Mesdames WALKER and BIRD and Misses McGORLICK and BOYD adding much to the enjoyment. A tray with a large number of articles was handed around for a brief inspection, after which those present tested their memories by writing down the different articles. Three ladies tied for the prize, a bottle of perfume, which was won eventually by Miss McLURE. During the evening a very handsome silver chain bag was presented by Mrs. ROSEL to Mrs. EASTWOOD. Mrs. ROSEL expressed the general regret felt for Mrs. EASTWOOD's departure, and also the very warm wishes for future happiness in her new home. Mrs. EASTWOOD suitably r!
esponded and thanked her many friends for their good wishes and beautiful gift. Auld Lang Syne at a late hour brought to a regretful close a most enjoyable evening.
