The many friends of Mr. Arthur HOCKING, of Horsham, will be pleased to hear
he is making a good recovery from the recent operation, and was able to
return to his home last week.

Cr. Harold SMITH, of Lower Norton, who volunteered with the Expeditionary
Force, has been promoted from Lance Corporal to Corporal.

Private Bert SWINDLES, a native of Horsham, and a member of the Australian
Expeditionary Force, has been appointed a Lance Corporal.
