I wonder if we have any indexers on the list who would like to tell us about their techniques, programs, etc.
Do you cut up the film and use it in a microfiche reader?
Do you use a microfilm reader?
Where do you purchase your films?
What criteria do you use in selecting what you will index? Is it just BDMs or any occurrence of a surname, etc?
Do you design your own spreadsheet? What is the best way to make your work easily transferable to the Internet at a later date?
I would really like to hear people's thoughts/experiences in this field.
Perhaps Daryl CRABTREE might lead us off???
Cheers
