Subject: [AUS-VIC-NorWest] My ancestor is an "Exile"

Hi All,
My great grandfather, Abraham Crabtree, was an "Exile"(lucky me), who came
out on the Eden, arriving at Geelong Feb. 4th, 1849 and later sent to
Portland on the Sophia, arriving Feb 11th 1849. Can anyone tell me where I
can source the passenger lists and disposal details of the prisoners for
this ship?. Would those details include names or just figures.? Who would
have hired Abraham Crabtree when he either landed at Geelong or Portland?
I have purchased and read, "The Pentonvillains", Ian Ward. This has spurred
me on to attempt a book on my ancestor.
Cheers,
Daryl Crabtree
