I will re post some of my families to see if anyone out there is connected.
MURPHY William from U.S.A. - Married Catherine Kelly (from Scotland) Melbourne 1839, Port Fairy, Lexton - also Timboon
BEAMS/ES Robert - Convict 1804 Van Diemans Land married Susannah Brelsford- My g. grandfather was Robert (Buller) BEAMS - Port Fairy and Timboon. Certainly a real character of his day.
HOSE John Scotland married Margaret Wilson - Arrived 1855 Victoria lived South Purrumbete also Camperdown
MUMFORD Clements - Essex married Elizabeth Burt 1872 Rushworth. I am particularly interested in finding out about their children Frances Mary b. 1873, Alfred b. 1875, Violet Alexandri b. 1879 and Burton b. 1882.
WARREN John Northhampton married Alice MEE 1852 Lexton

I am also interest in a man called William Frederick Addensall 1902 - 1983. " Bill" was my father's best friend and bestman at dad's wedding. He left Timboon in the 1950's for Rutherglen.

Question: Has anyone ever applied for Naturalisation Records in Victoria? I cannot find out any information on where William Murphy came from in the U.S.A. (On his last child's birth cert. he stated "State of Maine U.S.A."). I thought on my next trip to Melbourne I would look at records at the PRO as William did buy land in Lexton and I am led to believe an "alien" had to be naturalised before purchasing any land.............
