HENRY--FALLS
An exceedingly pretty wedding was solemnised by the Rev. H.C. MATTHEWS at the Presbyterian Church, Stawell, on Wednesday afternoon, March 25, when Mr. James B. HENRY, second son of Mr. Robert HENRY, of Hamilton, was married to Miss Lavinia FALLS, of Stawell. The bride, who was given away by her brother, (Mr. Harold FALLS), looked charming in a robe of white crepe de chine, trimmed with silk shadow lace. A very pretty touch was added by a long court train, lined with a delicate shade of pink. She wore a pretty long lace veil, worn cap fashion, and carried a bouquet of roses, carnations and ferns. Miss Ethel FALLS, sister of the bride, was dressed in white silk with trimmings of fur, and wore a pink mop cap. She carried a bouquet of pink posies with streamers to match. Mrs. FALLS, mother of the bride, wore a black silk gown, trimmed with silk lace, black hat with black lancer plumes. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold circle brooch, set with turquoises and !
pearls, while that of the bride to the bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve links. The duties of best man was carried out by Mr. Norman FALLS, brother of the bride. As the happy couple left the church, Miss Thomas played the Wedding March on the organ. An elaborate wedding breakfast was held in the Town Hall at the conclusion of the ceremony. The Rev. MATTHEWS, who presided, proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom. Numerous other toasts were drunk. The happy couple (who were the recipients of many handsome presents) left the same evening for Melbourne and Ballarat, between which places they will divide their honeymoon. The bride travelled in a navy tailor-made costume ; black hat and lancer plumes. In addition to presents, the young couple received a number of congratulatory messages, which were read at the breakfast table by the Rev. MATTHEWS.
