Good morning to the list,
I am searching for information on my Grandmother Ellen Mary Hicks known
variously as Ellen Mary, Mary Ellen, Nellie, all with the surname of
Hicks, born, 12/4/1883, died, 27/6/1971 at Geelong Vic. she married Tom
Bonnett 13/7/1904 at the Methodist Parsonage Camperdown Vic.
It is believed she along with her elder sister were placed in a home
because when the mother was expecting the next child believed to be a
boy and it was not possible to support the three children as the father
is reputed to be a drunkard and so there was no money to support the family
Any information concerning this family would be greatly appreciated
