Going through some of my late father's things I ran across a cutting from The Standard dated Mar 27-Apr 1 1936 about the GRASMERE and district school sports held at BUSHFIELD oval headlined
PURNIM WEST WINS CUP

The results being determined on some sort of handicap system that I cant fathom
with PURNIM WEST 1st MAILER'S FLAT 2nd WANGOOM 3rd and then GRASMERE,PURNIM,COORAMOOK,WOODFORD and YARPTURK being a Melbourneite I'm not familiar with these names but "YARPTURK'' is this one for real?
