Hi,
Refer pages 61 & 137 of The Portland Bay Settlement. In the first Constable
Finn rescued two dignitaries from the shipwreck of the Minerva and the Sally
Ann and it seems he was a passenger on the latter vessel. The latter is a
reference to the appointment of him as the Chief Constable of Portland and
arriving on the 'Sally Ann'. Could this be your man? Also try History House
at
Regards.
Ray
