I have a mystery man. Can you put his name up on all sites you are mixed up with please.
George Mawer Mathewson
Arrived Victoria 1855
Draftsman in the survey office at Portland.
Among other things designed St Stephen's Church.
Set up as private surveyor & also worked for council. (no records)
Stayed here until at least the sixties.
No mention of wife or children. No death
No help from professional surveyors organisation. (Melbourne)
No record at either Vic state library or Mitchell.

St Stephen's 150th this month.
